The good news is my son will be ok and will get out of the hospital soon. I have not found out how he did this.

The bad news:

He is due for an ass chewing.

The truck cab cannot be fixed and there is none around. Its history. Plus I'm so messed up financially that if I found a cab for $200 I'd have to save for a year to get it.

I'll just junk it out.

Actually I had the truck sold but I'm sure he won't want it now.  He sure won't pay yesterdays price. Guess I have bragging rights of owning a Suzuki pickup and now have a very good drive train in the back yard.

And HELL no he ain't touching the Tin top.

Very unusual wound on the truck, what were your son's wounds like?  Smack the side of his head?

You mean did he or did I smack the side of his head? Wink

Actually I figured he did too but no. I had a plastic box with tools in it and a chain under the seat and the ball and stem for my trailer hitch on the floor on the passengers side. One of those whacked him in the shoulder and dislocated it. Other than that he is ok.

He came around a sharp corner and there were big rocks in the road. He swerved around the rocks and dropped the passenger front tire off the pavement. The drop off is about 6". It pulled him into the ditch sideways then went up the bank and flopped on its side.

A rock about the size of a card table about 6" out of the ground got the top.

Had it been just dirt I would be driving it right now.

Yep  and thats why I never wheel it too hard. If it flopped or rolled you would here me crying at your house. I do scratch it tho.  I would love a lwb to go with my truck but will have to settle with the TT shorty.
Bang Head Your luck must be like mine, that's exactly what would have happened to me. I'm glad your son wasn't badly injured. You should hang on to the truck and stretch the tintop to fit the LWB chassis.

The body guy at a place I used to work at says he can fix it. He is really good and specializes in hard hits.

It may be going to Miss. but that is still in the works.
