Loosely speaking,  Karma works like your feedback score on eBay.  If someone goes out of their way to help you, or posts something outstanding, you can [applaud] them to show your appreciation.  If someone is being an asshole, you can [smite] them to express your negative feelings.   Karma should not be assigned merely because you like someone; it is not a popularity contest.  If used appropriately it can be useful, but it has the potential to become a circle-jerk.

Before you can judge someone, you have to take the time to become acquainted.  For that reason, and to prevent hit-and-run abuse, a member must have an "Active Member" (12 posts or more) status before they can assign Karma.  Please do not abuse the Karma system. Remember, Big Brother is watching you...

I think I ate some Karma yestiday....... with salsa.

thanks  but im gonna put george in the spot since he wont do it himself.

he did all the leg work on this and put himself out there, while not know if 5 or 20 rigs were gonna show, let alone the $$$$$  out of his own pocket.
