I drove a soft top zuk every day for around 7 years in vegas with no a/c.  I had an old soft top with the windows cut off for the summer, and believe it or not, it was much cooler to climb into than any regular car.   pheonix can hit 120 by 7am, now thats stupid. Yeah Yeah  Then they throw in 60% humidity during tsunami season.  pure sicko to work in.  totally beat the heat of cairo and saudi hands down.

I've also spent a total of 9 years in mississippi, lousiana, and south carolina and  I'll take a dry heat over humid heat any day.

WOW! I don't know how I missed this thread  Doh...

I have not had A/C in my personal vehicles since 1993. I always make sure the wife has the new cars with A/C however since I'm a soft top 4x4 guy I never have A/C.

As soon as its warm enough to pull off the top and doors (usually March or April)  they come off and don't go back on until  the mornings are to cold to handle (usually November or December).

Now I won't go wheeling in the summer heat but I can handle it for short rides to and from work or to and from the store and I really love driving in the rain without a top on the rare ocassions we get rain.

I actually got caught in a  flash flood / hail storm with no top or doors in my Wrangler  Yikes There was 3 inches of water on the floor board and every time I shifted I splashed myself... not fun but interesting to say the least  Popcorn
