The light bar is done and installed, tomorrow the lights will be wired up and good to go.

I am really enjoying owning all these fabricating tools. There's just no end to what you can build for your Sammi and how much money you can save.

Cost of pipe for light bar...$7.00, Cost of plate from Curtis Steel... Free, Cost of 4 lights switches and wire $60.00, The fun of building and enjoying your own stuff... Priceless  Cheesy

I know its kinda "Old School" but hey! I'm 50 years old... I AM OLD SCHOOL  Dunno Cheesy

Do I need one? I'm running the lights in pairs ... 2 outside ones on one switch, 2 inside ones on another switch.

According to the instructions I just need to run a 30 amp inline fuse. Is that not sufficient? Seemed to work just fine on my Wrangler  Dunno Think

i think its a protection thing, isnt that what relays do?  lets power to the switch ? then the power is actuated by the switch?

I would not use them w/o a relay.  Did you run it directly to the battery?  Did the switches and wiring come with it the lights?

Ran them directly to the battery via 20 amp rocker switches and 20 amp in line fuses.

That looks great! ya got mine done yet?

I would run a breaker from the switch to the lights, and a fuse from the battery to the switch.

Push down your antenna, fold back your mirrors and duck alot

easy   lol

I'd love lights and a cargo carrier up on the top but I'm sure I'd lose them fast.

I would love to get good enough at it to be able to do it for a living because this is more fun than any job I've ever had!  Yeah Yeah

I spend up to 14 hours a day in my garage now even with temperatures of over 100 degrees in there. I'm also sure I'm losing weight because when I'm working in there I don't even think about eating... I just drink tons of water!  Grin
