I've been browsing the web for info and pics and so far it looks like most folks construct them out of 1" pipe (3/4" ID) and the designs are basically the same except for latch and hinge style. 

If my calculations are correct it looks like it will take about 10.5' of pipe per door. I am psyched up for this project and will be picking up the pipe tomorrow. 

If anyone has any pics or suggestions they would definitely be appreciated 

What are you going to bend it with?

not sure if most benders  that ive seen can go that low.  the dies start at 1" on the bender we use.

maybe different dies.


id be interested in what youcome up with as usual.

My pipe bender has 6 different shoes that range from 1/2" to 2". I used the 1/2" one for the light bar and the bends are beautiful... no distortion whatsoever 

My favorite tube doors are the ones that were run by NCZUK (RIP) and ones on itsmejoe231's rig (ZK) I'm thinking a simular style in black with possibly some Red expanded metal behind them... gotta have that bling ya know!
