Here are a few pics of a trailer that I am building from the rear half of a Samurai that i recently parted out:

I went crazy with the gussets to make sure it didn't come apart.

I'm planning on building a camp box for it sort of like a huge Boy Scout Camp Box so I can carry my camping stuff without filling up the Samurai and making it un-wheelable on offroading adventures...

Update:

I am taking a refresher course in front axle rebuilding AND  rear axle bearing replacement!

Somehow, the hub on the driver's side of the HypnoToad has slightly separated from the kingpin casting.  The four bolts holding everything together were not particularly loose, but there is was, a 1/16" gap oozing axle grease....  Oh well, I needed to disassemble the thing anyway - I gotta install the rebuilt front 4.625 "chunk" so the front matches the rear.  Can't go wheelin' at Disney with non-matching difs!

I just got done grinding off the retainer and bearing on the passenger's side (it WAS a Samurai!) rear axle shaft on the trailer.

If it were not for the extra money I get "Pole Dancing" on the weekends, I'd play hookey (not hooker)and finish both of these projects up!
