Even at $3 per gallon, gas is my smallest expense when I travel. Due to the fact that we are a family of 5, I always have to pay for 2 hotel rooms side by side plus meals all along the way and several once we reach our destination.

Heck, spending $300 on gas would save me a fortune! RV Parks are way cheaper than hotels and food during the trip is a matter of transfering food from the house fridge and freezer to the motorhome fridge and freezer.

Best of all, I don't have to pull over every hour cause someone needs to "go potty" or someones hungry... they can just get up and take care of it as I'm tooling down the road.

Since I was 28 yrs old (now 50) I have always owned a motorhome. I buy them cash because if worse came to worse I still have a place to live ( and did for a couple of months after my last divorce).

Anyway, you didn't even comment on the tube doors, which is really what this thread is about
