"Stretch"

« on: August 07, 2007, 14:35:01 pm »

Roll cages,  bumpers, rock sliders, suspension, and more.  I own and built the Samurai "Stretch" featured on Izook.  We have been playing with these vehicles since 1987.  Our first "87 Hardtop, on 31" tires has kept us hooked on  4x4 offroad outings.  We have helped several people over the years with thier Samurai and Sidekick / Tracker build ups.  And we are not limited to just the Suzuki market.  Toyota, Bronco, and even Heeps.  With us it is all about getting out and having fun.  Give me a call  913-441-1186 or email Misfitsoffroad@yahoo.com for help with your projects.  Thanks, Wayne Fling

What would a full cage cost me? I will have a hard top on in the winter, and I really want to keep my targa bar.

I have a Mitler Brothers tubing bender.  We do mostly custom work to your specifications.  Give me a call or email for pricing.  There are so many options and applications, pricing varies.  I can work with you.  Have pictures or an idea of what your looking for. We will do most any vehicle. Roll cages...bumpers...rock sliders...suspension...and more.

Thanks!  That is well received.  The projects that I have been involved with over the years would shock many of you.  We try to keep learning as we do every new project.  The finish work is in the details.  Working with the Stretch project over four years has paid off.  With most of the off-road 4x4 projects, I limit the finish labor.  We wheel the vehicle,  I'm not parading for trophies.  Dents and scratches are part of the sport.  Fix the broken parts better.  Get out and wheel and have a great time.

For those of you that know about the Fairlane project...check out 1320video.com for HotRod Drag Week photos.  The 1963 Ford Fairlane Wagon is pictured with my brother Sean.  This has a 32valve 4.6 with automatic, hydro-boost brakes, I changed the front suspension to late model struts and steering rack.  This car is basically like a late model Mustang.   A 8.8 rear with disc brakes will be in soon. Car runs 13.30 @ 100mph, daily driver class. With adjustments to the engines computer, the rear end, suspension and gearing we will be at around 12.50 or better.  Oh and did I mention...adding a ProCharger supercharger to the mix, 11...?  A nice grocery getter, you can drive anywhere!

www.1320video.com   Hot Rod Drag Week 2007 check in registration page 6 and there are other photos later thru the week.  Talked to Sean, they went to the Ottawa Cruise, and also entered a Paola car show and won a trophy for best unfinished, voted by the walk in crowd.  He was unsure how to take that??? The Best Half A@%$.
