no i didnt  (panzers idea all the way) but if anyone suggests that i do so, after you post up a mounted pic at zuwharrie.com  (hint hint)  just let me know (tony)  and ill do whatever they want, within reason.

just be sure to tell em it will be 6 months  so the three it seems to take me wont feel so bad.

also   if you are bent on (pun intended)  attaching it to one of the bars, im gonna have to do one in aluminum cause that black enamel coating most likely wont survive the bending.

i left alot of side overhang because i wasnt sure what you wanted. id reccomend stopping by an engraving shop or upscale jeweler and they will cut it down for you , most likely for free.

let me know.

for as much as i HATE engraving jobs, these gave me a good feeling the whole time i was doing them.

well flea i still havent mounted it yet

I'm tryin' to figure out how the best way to bend it is

i think (yeah ,yeah  i know Dunce)

this is what im going to try

seeing how the outside dia. is 1.5" i am going to find a piece of pipe that has a 1.5" inside dia.

and a small piece that is 1.5" outside dia. and put them together over the plate (with a rag of corse)

and use hose clamps every inch or so and tighten them down a little at a time till it gets real close

and leave it that way for about a week and then just rivit it down to the cage

if you guys have a better idea let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alright    i promise it wont be 3 months this time.

ill get to it later this week   probably thurs or friday

it wont show nearly as nicely as it is one color.   but it will be deep since al  is so soft and it will be shiny letters against a brushed background.

same size?    maybe smaller ?  that way you can read it, all at once and not "around "
i might have to pop rivit it to a piece of  1 3/4 tube to set in machine and get it right.

grind off the rivits then send it
