Most of us have bailed from this event to go to SMORR.  However, a few of our Northern friends are going with some Heeps. admin.

A few of us are going to meet at Tuttle Creek ORV Area for camping and wheeling over the Memorial Day Weekend.
Who wants to join us?

Tuttle Creek ORV Area, Randolph, KS  -  N 39° 27' 0", W 96° 43' 0"  -  144 miles from KCMO
Price: FREE
http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/tuttlecreek/offroad.htm
http://www.4x4trails.net/db_view_trail.php?trailNum=438

Since Tuttle Creek ORV Area is FREE, those who want to wheel and go home incur no fees.  It is open from dawn to dusk.
Fancy Creek [Camping] Area is only 3-4 miles from the Tuttle Creek ORV Area.
They have 25 electric campsites, and 200 primitive campsites.
Fancy Creek Area is a part of the Tuttle Creek State Park.
  • Each Vehicle must pay a $4.20 per/day day-use fee.  Good until noon check-out time the next day.  A Tow Vehicle with another vehicle on it's trailer is considered one vehicle.  A driver who just wants to party with the campers, or crash at someone else's campsite, incurs only the $4.20 per/day day-use fee.  Passengers pay nothing.
  • Each Campsite is $8.50 per/day.  Check-out time is noon.  You can check-out and go wheeling, which is FREE.
  • Electric hook-up is $6.00 per/day extra.
They DO NOT take advance reservations.  However, an advance person can pay on-site for as many campsites as they are willing to pay for.

I think that Memorial Day is good because it's usually a day that people want to do SOMETHING, and having Monday off gives them time to sober up for work Tuesday! Beer Chug

I'm thinking that people could come on Saturday, wheel until dusk, camp the night, and have plenty of time to wheel the following day.  Camping Sunday night could be optional.  It sounds like a party to me!

What was canceled was any effort to have an organized activity.  We decided to go to SMORR where we expect to meet some new Zuk owners who were not at KSRocks.  I think that a couple of us are still going, but apparently they're bashful.

Hey, there is plenty of wheeling left to do this summer and fall.  I am going to try my best to go wheeling as much as possible this year, I didn't get to wheel near enough last year.

I declare....everyone will wheel this year!!!

No, I talked to Mike, he is going to MIOBI (http://www.miobi.org/)
I was going to go there as well but with gas prices and my buddy doing the towing with his truck we decided on Tuttle.
