Poor lit'l Wilson lost a lot of respect in one really slimey hole but got most of it back on the bigger rocky climbs.  He did run out of steam on one climb.  There isn't anything to compare to that little 2 stroke turning about 60000 rpms coming down the steeps.   Mel

Now THAT was driver error, not Wilson's fault. I'll still put him up against any stock Samurai.

Now there's a new one blame it on the driver instead of the vehicle.  I don't think I've heard that one before. Smiley         Mel

ROFL..  Never heard of driver error being claimed by the driver himself...

I was scared wilson was gonna make it through the mud and my IFS was gonna leave me stranded...  Roll Eyes

The thread had digressed way off topic, so I split it.

To put the matter of "driver error" to rest......

It was a slimey, nasty mudhole. I tried Wilson about 6 different lines and he stalled every time, spinning to a stop. He was on 6.00x16 30 year old military tires. I decided that he didn't have enough wheel speed. I tried the seventh line in second gear to get the wheel speed up. He went right thru.

When I got MY shit together, Wilson came thru.

Driver error. Don't blame Wilson, he's a thoroughbred.
