I was just wondering if someone could tell me if there is a kit on the market to convert a 2x tracker to a 4x tracker.

Thanks for any info.

dont know of a kit, it might be easier to find a totaled tracker and convert the parts over,
I beleive that you would need the transmision, t-case, front housing and control arms to knuckles, and driveshafts at least.
but if you had a totaled 4wd you could just start swapping parts over and sell the engine to help recoup some of the cost.

Hey i just wanted to thank everyone for the info.

I ended up finding a 91 4dr 4x4 kick, with 133,000 miles on it, and a 5 speed tranny.

Just got home from picking it up(from Allen, KS), havn't had much chance to drive it.  body is straight interior is in good shape.
Seems a bit sluggish compared to what i remember from my 91 tracker i had awhile back.

anyhow, thanx again.

Now, this is gonna be my daily driver so any suggestions for reliability and economy?

should change my name to

Tips:

Change the timing belt!

Check and replace (as needed) all the fluids.

Keep the tire pressure up for better milage.

also, take a look at http://www.acksfaq.com/trackerfsm.php for detailed maintence info.
