Hey,
I got an msd coil that is for high vibrations.   I thought hey off roading probably does wonders to the coil.  I also wanted to make sure that I had good spark for the new motor.  in the instructions for the coil it says that for installing on a points style ignition a .8 ohm ballast resistor must be installed.  Last I knew the sami was electric ignition but I don't want to overload it.  Does anyone know anymore about the MSD blaster II coil.  Thanks.

The Blaster HVC-2 Coil is designed to be used with an MSD 6 Series Ignition Control only.

I ran the Blaster 2 on my ZUK with out the Ballast no problems.  I also went with 8.5mm wires and Bosch plus 4 plugs.

I run the blaster coil on my LJ20 with a ballast resistor. Also no problems.

Mebbe I'll take my ballast resistor off then. It's ugly.
